Christmas Truffles

Every year, we make our famous Christmas truffles, a tradition that has become one of our family’s holiday highlights. These rich, melt-in-your-mouth treats are always a hit with the kids, who eagerly wait for the first batch to be ready. We love gathering in the kitchen, rolling up our sleeves, and creating these delicious little bites of joy together. It’s a recipe we look forward to every holiday season, and it’s a treat that has quickly become one of our kids’ favorite traditions.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 stick (1/2 cup) butter
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 3/4 cup mini chocolate chips (or crushed Oreos)
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 2 bags dipping chocolate

Instructions

  • Mix brown sugar and butter until creamy.
  • Add flour, milk, and vanilla, then mix until well combined.
  • Check the consistency; if it’s too soft, add a little extra flour to make it thick enough to roll.
  • Stir in mini chocolate chips (or crushed Oreos) and walnuts.
  • Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on parchment paper.
  • Chill the truffles in the fridge or freezer to speed up the firming process.
  • Once firm, dip the truffles into the melted dipping chocolate.
  • Decorate with sprinkles or drizzled colored chocolate.
  • Refrigerate until ready to serve.
